Zwift and TrainerRoad recently integrated their apps, so that cyclists can get the best of both worlds. Here’s all you need to know about this integration.
Some people love the gaming and social aspects of Zwift, plus the great visuals. Others love the high level cycling training offered by TrainerRoad. Personally, I prefer Zwift, but I worry that I could be getting better training plans on TrainerRoad. Now, we can have it all – for a price.
In February 2025, Zwift and TrainerRoad introduced a seamless integration that allows cyclists to combine TrainerRoad’s structured workouts with Zwift’s immersive virtual environments. This means you can now perform your TrainerRoad sessions directly within the Zwift platform, merging data-driven training with engaging visuals.

Key Features of the Integration of Zwift and TrainerRoad
- Automatic Workout Syncing: Once you connect your TrainerRoad and Zwift accounts, your scheduled TrainerRoad workouts automatically appear in Zwift’s “For You” section. This eliminates the need for manual uploads, streamlining your training process.
- Exclusive In-Game Kit: By linking your accounts, you unlock a special TrainerRoad kit in Zwift, allowing you to showcase your training platform pride while riding in the virtual world.
- TrainerRoad Club on Zwift: Join the TrainerRoad Club within Zwift to participate in group rides and connect with a community of like-minded athletes, enhancing your training experience. I love this concept!

Bottom Line on the Integration of Zwift and TrainerRoad
Integrating Zwift and TrainerRoad into your cycling training offers a comprehensive training experience, combining immersive virtual rides with structured, data-driven workouts. It will cost you almost $40 per month, so it comes down to how much you value bike training and having fun at the same time.
