The Vancouver Park Board abandoned the plan for a new bike path at Kits Beach on February 17th, 2014. BUT they said that some of the money would be re-allocated to other pedestrian and cycling safety priorities. I’m all for that! On May 25th a 61-year-old cyclist was killed on the Stanley Park Causeway. Apparently she was trying to get by a pedestrian, fell off the sidewalk, and was hit by a bus.
