The Vancouver Park Board abandoned the plan for a new bike path at Kits Beach on February 17th, 2014. A new report out of Victoria reflects the fact that cyclists and pedestrians actually DO SPEND MONEY, and therefore should be embraced by business. I have been saying this for a long time. On May 25th a 61-year-old cyclist was killed on the Stanley Park Causeway. Apparently she was trying to get by a pedestrian, fell off the sidewalk, and was hit by a bus.
