Thx about the video! Hah I really have to fix the cranks… At first I thought I just had to replace a crank bolt that had fallen out, but it didn’t fix the problem so next step is a new crankset.

I’m also eying one of the MEC bikes for the future… the Hold Steady has hydraulic discs, an 8-speed internal hub gear, and comes with SPD-compatible pedals pre-installed. Very attractive for my uses.

If you want to get started quickly with a wearable camera, you can try searching online at eBay for MD80. Here’s a video from a motorcycle rider who uses one:

Not that high resolution but I’ve heard of MD80 clones going for ~$20 so it’s a good way to get started!

Thanks Alex for the warning. But I always take comments in the context of where they come from. So if he calls me names, I would take that as a massive compliment! If he started to say NICE things about me, it’d be both embarrassing and scary.

Btw, loved your 49th avenue video, especially the funny comment about your crankshaft – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXfqx4W3pZ4&feature=recentlik – it made me go out and shop for helmet cams – didn’t get one because the choice is so overwhelming, and all I really care about is that it stabilizes the image and is easy to use.
