I cycled downtown with my baby son in the bike trailer on Dunsmuir bike lane, when a truck was completely blocking the bike lane. I had to stop and the driver was there so I asked him what he thinks I need to do? He said go on the sidewalk. I told him I can’t go on the sidewalk with the trailer since it’s too heavy to push up to the sidewalk (although technically I could do it). So he said to by pass on the road. I told him it’s a busy street and I have my baby with me so I won’t cycle on the street, and he can’t just block the bike lane like this. He said he couldn’t move the truck so I asked him to please block traffic for me while I bypass his truck. He agreed and that’s what I did….
