What on earth was Translink thinking, to do this to their customers just weeks before the busiest shopping season of the year? Not to mention that disabled transit users have now been inconvenienced for 21 months at this station, and the situation is getting worse instead of better.

Vancouver Cycling #3 – Central Valley Greenway (CVG) in Metro Vancouver – Guide plus Video https://averagejoecyclist.com/central-valley-greenway-cvg-guide/ Fri, 05 Jun 2015 14:30:10 +0000 https://averagejoecyclist.com/?p=12446 Commuting cyclists on the bridge over Winston Street, an impressive part of the CVG, in BurnabyThis is a guide plus video of the entire Central Valley Greenway (CVG). It runs all the way from Science World in Vancouver to the New Westminster Quay. It's a challenging but very interesting bike ride. Parts are magical, other parts still need work to make them pleasant. It is NOT a AAA route (all ages and abilities), even though it aspires to be. Still, it is quite an awesome route, covering 24 km (15 miles) from Vancouver, through Burnaby, and into New Westminster. It is remarkably flat most of the time, but there are a few uphills.

I don't think it's too much to ask for safe cycling infrastructure in a world-class city like Vancouver - why I am voting yes in the metro Vancouver Transit ReferendumI am voting YES in the BC Transit Referendum because I want a better future for my descendants - but ALSO because I simply want to be able to commute by bike without being killed!
